LOTTE Biologics Launches Tree-Planting and Wildfire Prevention Campaign with

Yeonsu-gu District to Celebrate Arbor Day

Seoul, South Korea, April 3, 2026 - LOTTE Biologics announced that, ahead of Arbor Day, it had carried out a tree-planting and wildfire prevention campaign in collaboration with the Yeonsu-gu District in Incheon, as part of its efforts to address climate change and contribute to the preservation of the local ecosystem.

The campaign was organized as part of LOTTE Biologics’ ESG vision of fostering a sustainable bio ecosystem. Approximately 400 participants—including Yeonsu-gu officials, local residents, and members of the company’s employee volunteer group ‘LB:Heart’—took part in the initiative.

Participants planted approximately 250 trees in a neighborhood park near the Songdo Advanced Industrial Cluster. In addition, wildfire prevention awareness activities were conducted for local residents, along with environmental clean-up efforts in nearby park areas to help enhance community safety.

LOTTE Biologics expects that this tree-planting initiative will contribute to reducing fine dust and urban heat island effects, while also providing greener and more comfortable public spaces for local residents. The company plans to continue supporting sustainable coexistence with local communities through such initiatives.

Beyond environmental efforts, LOTTE Biologics is also expanding its social contribution activities through talent development programs. On April 15, the company will host a “Youth Career Mentoring Special Lecture” at the Yeonsu-gu District Office to support local youth employment and strengthen connections with the bio industry. The session will provide practical insights and career guidance, with Youngsoo Yoon, Chief Communications Officer of LOTTE Biologics, participating as a mentor.

Following its “LB:Heart” volunteer activities launched in December 2025 in partnership with the Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ), the company has continued meaningful community engagement by delivering educational supplies to children’s centers in the Incheon area in collaboration with university student volunteers in the first quarter of this year.

A LOTTE Biologics representative stated, “We will continue to pursue environmentally responsible initiatives to address climate change, while also contributing to the development of a healthy industrial ecosystem that supports local communities and nurtures talented individuals in the bio sector.”
