LOTTE Biologics Hosts Joint Volunteer Day with University Students to Support Local Communities

Incheon, South Korea — January 9, 2026. LOTTE Biologics announced that it successfully hosted a joint volunteer initiative in collaboration with its employee volunteer group “LB:Heart” and LOTTE Group’s university student volunteer program, “Val-U(Value creators in Universities) for ESG”, reinforcing its commitment to community engagement and shared value creation.

The initiative brought together approximately 100 participants, including LOTTE Biologics employees and university student volunteers, who collaborated to prepare and deliver handmade care packages to 100 local child welfare centers across Incheon. The activity focused on providing practical support for children during the winter season through direct, hands-on participation.

Volunteers assembled care packages on site, consisting of school supplies, snacks, and winter essentials. All packages were personally prepared and delivered to ensure meaningful engagement with local communities and to emphasize the importance of sustained social contribution beyond one-time donations.

CCO(Chief Communication Officer) of LOTTE Biologics, Youngsoo Yoon, also participated in the program and joined volunteers at the Incheon Cheonghak-dong Child Welfare Center to deliver the care packages and connect with community representatives.

As part of the initiative, LOTTE Biologics also hosted a campus visit program for participating university students. The visit provided an overview of the Songdo Bio Campus, where students were guided through the construction site of the company’s large-scale manufacturing facility and introduced to LOTTE Biologics’ long-term growth strategy and vision as a global contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO).

During the program, LOTTE Biologics highlighted its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives, including efforts to reduce environmental impact, improve energy efficiency, expand renewable energy usage such as solar power systems, and establish sustainable resource management practices.

“This volunteer initiative was especially meaningful as it allowed employees and students to directly engage with local communities and contribute together,” said Youngsoo Yoon, CCO of LOTTE Biologics. “We will continue to expand our social contribution activities in close partnership with local communities, while fostering sustainable growth and shared value.”

LOTTE Biologics plans to further strengthen its ESG-driven community engagement efforts while offering opportunities for young talent to gain firsthand exposure to the biopharmaceutical industry. Through these initiatives, the company aims to support future talent development while advancing responsible and sustainable business practices.
