LOTTE Biologics places environmental protection and
sustainability at the core of all its business activities.
LOTTE Biologics established Scope 1 and Scope 2 inventories for both the Songdo Bio Campus in Korea (LBK) and the Syracuse Bio Campus in
the U.S. (LBA). The company monitors greenhouse gas emissions and renewable energy usage and plans to further expand monitoring coverage
alongside facility growth while setting Scope 3 emissions targets.

The Songdo Bio Campus integrated renewable energy from the construction phase,
including the installation of rooftop solar systems. Through this approach, LOTTE
Biologics has steadily increased the share of renewable energy across the site.


The Syracuse Bio Campus sources 10.3% of its total energy consumption from
hydropower as of the end of 2025.
LOTTE Biologics’ Songdo Bio Campus is located in Songdo, Incheon, where the
site’s proximity to coastal ecosystems requires careful environmental consideration.
As Songdo was designated as a wetland protection area under the Ramsar Convention in
2014, the company has established stricter internal wastewater management standards
—beyond regulatory requirements—to minimize environmental impact and preserve local
biodiversity.
